This year has seen some of Midnight Philosophy’s largest and liveliest attendance. People filter in and out over the course of the club’s hours-long debates, but the population is rarely smaller than a full-sized class.

Lacey Williams ’16 has added some teeth to her CV. The alumna recently co-published a paper, titled “Disappearance of white sharks leads to the novel emergence of an allopatric apex predator, the sevengill shark,” in Nature’s Scientific Reports.

The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs has named �鶹��ýӳ�� as one of the nation’s top producers of Fulbright U.S. Scholars for the 2018–2019 academic year.

While nearly two decades separate their time at Colgate, Julie Cohen ’86, Chris White ’91, and Matt Renner ’01 will find themselves under the same roof on February 24: as executive co-producers and directors for films nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 2019 Oscars.

The Greek Parliament has agreed that the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia – its name for the country to the northwest of Greece since the break-up of Yugoslavia in 1991 – can now be called the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
