A newly funded natural laboratory, designed to understand the interaction between the climate, hydrology, and the Colgate community, is now collecting data, thanks to the recent installation of specialized monitoring stations on campus and in a local creek. 

Nestled within Little Hall’s Clifford Art Gallery, there sits a small white house composed of two windows, two doors, and an array of tiny portraits. This installation, fittingly titled The Little House, opened with a lecture and reception on Sept. 14.

Biology and computer science major Macdonald Chirara ’25, from Marondera, Zimbabwe, describes his internship at Imire: Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy, where he aided in wildlife conservation efforts.

Colgate will host a special panel with members of the Syrian Emergency Task Force (SETF), Wednesday, October 26, titled Exposing War Crimes in Syria and the Connection to the Ukraine Crisis.

From Friday, Sept. 23, to Saturday, Sept. 24, Colgate hosted campus community members and alumni for a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Harlem Renaissance Center.

All Colgate students from families with annual income levels up to $175,000 will have federal loans replaced with University grants as part of the Colgate Commitment, beginning in the 2023–2024 academic year — an expansion from the current income threshold of $150,000. 

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»­ broke ground Friday, Sept. 30, to celebrate the start of construction on the Benton Center for Creativity and Innovation, an anchor of the new Middle Campus, made possible through a $25 million gift from Daniel C. Benton ’80, H’10, P’10.
